died march 23rd 1999 aged 63
jimmy (grandad) was a pit man most his working life but also worked in the leather factory and
helped build the swallow hotel, he kept pigeons most of his whole life
he live in scotswood with his doating wife dot he had 9 kids 5 daughters dot, linda, angela, diane,
and tracey 3 sons jimmy, stephen and alan and his adoptive daughter janice 20 grandkids, 16 great
grandkids (most he never met but know he'll love) and had 1 brother billy who he talked about
all the time and loved.
he died of cancer quite quick after being diagnosed but he was a strong man and we believe he
suffered a long time before he went and got checked
my grandad was a lovely man he loved life and wasnt affraid to live it. most the time if he wasnt at
the pigeons you'd find him in the bobby, or the crows nest enjoying a bottle of brown ale (one
of his indulgences in life) when he got drunk it used to be so funny my nanna used to go mad but she
misses those days so much.
grandad was a kind man he'd do anything for any one and if he had it you could have it.
i loved my grandad so much, i still do, the whole family does, we miss him millions and think about
him all the time especially me nanna.

BUTTERFLIES FROM HEAVEN
When we lose our loved ones they never die
For I know once heaven takes their souls
The Dear Lord leaves a little of them here
To turn into beautiful butterflies
So they can be near our hearts
Blessed are those who can see the beauty
Of the life which has gone to what is "God's Art"
When we look for the angels
They will send us Jesus' love
I saw a butterfly today, my last prayer I gave away
Heaven is more than souls of our loved ones
When a father, mother, a brother, sister or a child dies
Their hearts live in those who have loved them
Every grain of sand, every sunrise and sunset
All the good things we know and love
They all go to Jesus for Him to protect
As a gift, The Lord, lets us have a glimpse of those we love
For a brief moment in time, for a short while
A butterfly is seen at our window, sent from heaven
Then we know, all will be well with those we love.

how you keeping da,it's been a while since i talked to you,well me ma's been bad for a long time now the doctor's only gave her 24'hour's at xmas n they dont know how she's still here,we are all looking after her but she has 1 problem after another,our dot sleep's with her most night's n me mam enjoys her staying she said she's realy funny hahaa,,you know what dot's like,our alan's back home aswell,he has no luck with lasses n he's realy cannie poor thing only goes t work n want's t look after his pigions,he said that when he's up the gardens he can feel you still around aww is'nt that nice i said you would'nt leave the gardens ha. micky said he's said hello a few times t yi so am glad!! the bairn's are all doing fine,our david is looking smashing,i think all that prying we did when he had cancer has worked eee a love him t bits he's 5 now little ella's 3 n so is my little gary n my little holly's just turned 2,i'v had the 4 off them at the park today they were is out n they have micky running all over the place haha.we have a new baby girl called lauren,she's our paul's little one n our debbie's due any time now,she's having a baby girl called jessica n our colin's jennifer has a new baby boy called benjamin,,he is a little looker and she is having twin girls her due date is the 28th september,it's me ma's n our diane's birthday little benji will only be 10months old she will have her hand's full but our colin is great with kids,we are all exited cause we'v never had twins before you will have to watch over our debbie n jennifer when there having these babys t make sure every thing goe's well and da you'll have t keep a good watch on me mam,she's been worse since her doreen n iris died well i know you will in any case,i dont know how i'd cope if out happend t me ma it's 10 years for you n it still herts like mad i still expect t see yi comming across the corner n tell is t put the kettle on,eee were has all the years gone.well da am away for now n i will talk t yi soon so untill then keep smilling n have a pint fa me love you lots n lots X X X from your linda X
