died march 23rd 1999 aged 63
jimmy (grandad) was a pit man most his working life but also worked in the leather factory and
helped build the swallow hotel, he kept pigeons most of his whole life
he live in scotswood with his doating wife dot he had 9 kids 5 daughters dot, linda, angela, diane,
and tracey 3 sons jimmy, stephen and alan and his adoptive daughter janice 20 grandkids, 16 great
grandkids (most he never met but know he'll love) and had 1 brother billy who he talked about
all the time and loved.
he died of cancer quite quick after being diagnosed but he was a strong man and we believe he
suffered a long time before he went and got checked
my grandad was a lovely man he loved life and wasnt affraid to live it. most the time if he wasnt at
the pigeons you'd find him in the bobby, or the crows nest enjoying a bottle of brown ale (one
of his indulgences in life) when he got drunk it used to be so funny my nanna used to go mad but she
misses those days so much.
grandad was a kind man he'd do anything for any one and if he had it you could have it.
i loved my grandad so much, i still do, the whole family does, we miss him millions and think about
him all the time especially me nanna.

hello dad i hope you are ok up there n your having a party for me mam,she passed away on saturday 24th of october just yesterday and i dont no what to do without her,life will never be the same now.god it was hard to deal with you not being here and i still cry when i talk about you and it's been 10years so i think i'll be crying all my life now, she was in a lot of pain before she passed so i hope n pray she has no pain now n your giving her lots of cuddles she missed you lots and used to tell us she missed her cuddles at night so i no you'll look after her.my head is all over the place at the moment with getting the funeral aranged with the rest of me brothers n sisters and we hope she'll like it cause she said we did you proud so we are doing her almost the same as we did you only she wanted a cremation but she said we could scatter her ashes on your grave so i think that will be nice.we are all in shock cause we took her for some new glasses on thursday at the metro center and she had a canny day out she wasnt well but she still wanted to go she was worn out when we got home so i put her night clothes on her n angie brought her a lovely dinner along she enjoyed it aswell. our dot has been sleeping with me mam n she said she had a bad night so she got the doctor next morning he sent her to hospital with nemonia,i new when he said that she wouldnt get home we are all in a state its like someone has tore my heart out,tell me mam i will look after tracey and not to worry i love you's both more than life its self and i realy hope you's are together and its a lovely place you's go to dont no how i'm going to get through this.... love you's lots n lots... from linda xxxxxxxx
